2026 Leadership Academy by PALS Registration

*Note – this program is shortened by one day in 2026.

The Leadership Academy by PALS is a unique program with long term benefits for individuals and libraries by exploring and developing leadership skills, experiences, and professional connections. Learn leadership skills by identifying your Gallup strengths, considering leadership through the lens of inclusion and diversity, while engaging with mentors in large and small groups.  You will be assigned to a small group leadership practicum and will work on a project together over a 6-month period of time. Eligibility to participate requires PA library staff to meet one of the following criteria:

• Have an MLS/MLIS degree
• Be currently working on a master’s degree or library science credits, have at least two (2) years of library experience, and interest in a long-term career in PA libraries and leadership positions
• Have a bachelor’s degree, at least two (2) years of library experience, and interest in a long-term career in PA libraries and leadership positions now or in the future
