Compensation: Starting at $25.72/hr. with COLA and step increases at 12, 24, and 36 months, plus PTO

DESCRIPTION

We’re hiring a part-time staff member who enjoys working with children and teenagers alike to help our amazing Youth Services Library staff carry out our mission to provide for all patrons an inclusive, welcoming environment of intellectual enrichment, creativity and enjoyment, and a forum to exchange ideas by providing top-tier programs, materials, services, and community support. The successful candidate will be a team player who is able to adapt to change and work in a busy environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have completed a Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited college or university.
• A minimum of one year experience working with children under age 12.
• Some evening and weekend hours are required of all Children’s Library staff members.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to visit outreach sites.
• All positions that work with children require all three CHILD CLEARANCES and Mandated Reporter Training be obtained prior to the first day of work. Successful candidates will be reimbursed after 30 days of work.
